IT may be six months away, but the excitement surrounding the Telethon weekend is mounting.
The 2016 Telethon home is under construction at Eden Beach Estate in Jindalee.
The two-storey house — being built by In-Vogue — has ocean views from the 537sq m block donated by Satterley Property Group and Ocean Springs Pty Ltd, along with Eden Beach Estate’s fellow development partners.
It is the 11th consecutive year In-Vogue has built the Telethon home, which will be auctioned over the Telethon weekend.
General manager Jim Ilias said the design and construction of the home was a highlight for his team each year. Nigel Satterley, chief executive of Satterley Property Group, shared the sentiment, saying there was no hesitation at providing the land for the children’s charity.
“Satterley has been developing beachside for more than 30 years and that experience and expertise has been used to make Eden Beach the kind of relaxed, spacious and fun community the owners of this home will get to enjoy,” he said.
The house will feature a home theatre and a separate zone for children, with a hotel-style ensuite. Neil Perry appliances will be added to the kitchen the outdoor entertaining area will have a putting green.
“We have amazing support for the construction of the Telethon Home each year,” Mr Ilias said.
“While the auction of the home is just one weekend, the Telethon Home is something the In-Vogue team works on year round and what this very dedicated group of people achieve each year is a credit to them.”
