Jamshedpur, March 13: Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur on Tuesday organised ‘Mother and Baby Show’ at Birsa Basti in Sonari, to create awareness as well as to encourage mothers to lead a healthy lifestyle and provide children proper nutrition through regular food .
Past President Nalini Rammurthy inaugurated the show by lighting the lamp. She stressed on importance of healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition.
Past President Vijay Laxmi Das and Renu Jaiswal prepared the criteria based on age of marriage of mother, no of children, gap between two child, vaccination, breast feeding, solid food giving, cleanliness, general awareness etc.
Questions were asked amongst 22 ladies who have children between age group of 6 months to two years. After preliminary session, 6 mothers with babies were selected for final round.
Vijaylaxmi talked to ladies about various girl child friendly schemes of Government, which one should know and make the most of those.
A ramp show was also held for participating mothers with babies.
At the Baby Show- Babita Dhivar won the first prize, followed by Radha Joko. Consolation prize was won by Jhunu Dhivar.
Crowns were provided to winning mothers and babies along with gifts for both of them. Consolation prize was given to mother and Baby bagged third spot.
Convenors PP Vijaylaxmi and Renu Jaiswal supported in making the show successful. Present on the occasion were Nalini Rammurthy, Vijaylaxmi Das, President Alakananda Bakshi, VP Mamta Trehan, Editor Manju Singh, Renu Jaiswal, Sudha & Madhulika Sabberwal and Vandana Sinha
