The folks over at World of Beer have announced that they are hiring a team of interns to travel the world and experience everything the culture of beer drinking has to offer. Basically, if you’re a millennial, at least 21 years old, and love beer, you might be qualified. So grab your friends, your favorite koozie, and read up on all the super technical job details before you apply.Official Job Description
“Want to spend your summer traveling the country, drinking beer, meeting brewers and diving into beer culture? We’re recruiting three Drink it Interns to hit the road this summer and search out the best craft beer and food the world has to offer. We’ll send you down the street and around the world to capture the best beer stories and document them by blogging, capturing video, taking photos, Facebooking, Tweeting, sharing Vines, Periscoping, and anything else you think would be awesome to help tell the tale.”
Internship Qualifications
According to the job description, you need to be a social media nut. You should also be passionate about craft beer. Bonus points if you’re a photographer, blogger,videographer, or even a super-tweeter. Introverts should know before applying that this job requires that you have an outgoing personality, and you should enjoy meeting new people. If that doesn’t sound like you, perhaps you can find a friend to volunteer as tribute for this once-in-a-lifetime gig.
Boozy Job Duties
In all seriousness, this internship is more than just about drinking beer. You have to be comfortable with international and domestic traveling. You should also be comfortable being on camera, and being open about your experiences. Lastly, you’re going to actually have to blog about these things. Which isn’t so bad, assuming you don’t have a hangover.
Application Process
You can apply anytime between now and the deadline, which closes on March 26. World of Beer will accept video applications, as well as in person if you’re conveniently located near a World of Beer location. If your application hops its way to the top (see what I did there?), you can expect a call back the week of March 28. Final interviews start the week of April 4 and the lucky finalists start their adventure April 25.
