AN OVER-EXCITED grandmother invited a complete stranger to her daughter-in-law’s hospital ward after mistakenly sending a text to the wrong number.
Teresa Lashley fired off a quick group text to her loved ones to let them know Lindsey and Mark Knox were at the hospital, waiting on the arrival of their newborn.
Dennis Williams of Tallahassee, Florida, received a group message that was clearly meant for someone else.
But instead of deleting the text, he and his brother Deorick played along, the New York Daily News reports.
Williams wrote: “Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number.”
But an undeterred Ms Lashley ignored the message and sent over a photo of her newborn grandson.
“Well I don’t know y’all but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby,” he added.
The kind-hearted brothers decided to visit the new parents at Bainbridge Hospital in Georgia — and even brought presents.
Ms Lashley later took to Facebook to thank the pair.
“What a blessing these two guys were to our family,” she wrote. “They were so sweet and kind to do this”.
